Puppets.

Class 5 have really enjoyed designing and making their finger puppets. They have impressed us with their threading needles, fancy stitches and decorative detail.

Some even got to show them during our celebration assembly.

How could you improve your design next time?

Sew Easy.

Class 5 were busy testing their sewing skills yesterday sewing on a bead, trying out a running stitch and designing a finger puppet.

Which part did you find most tricky?

Magnificent Sculptures.

Class 5 have been demonstrating their creative side with some magnificent sculptures  linked to emotions. Some portrayed happiness in spirals, whilst others showed love with hearts.

Which one do you like and why?

Mother’s Day Lunch

Today was Class 5’s turn for the Mother’s Day lunch, so the children were able to decorate a special treat for their mums. They enjoyed the creativity of this treat, many choosing to put as much icing, sprinkles and chocolate drops on their biscuit as possible! On the other hand, some  chose a more subtle design with a face and eyelashes.

Did your mum enjoy their special treat?

Frozen Forest

Class five have been looking at the book ‘The Tin Forest’ by Helen Ward and Wayne Anderson and demonstrating their super drama skills by freeze framing some of the characters.

Which character did you play and how did you feel whilst in role?

Jumping Jungle!

Class 5 was alive with the sound of the rainforest. A fabulous visit from Katie at Jumping Clay resulted in two amazing creature models. I wonder what they will make next.

What techniques did you use to make these?

Martial Arts

The Star Foundation provided us with an intensive workout today.

We learned the push kick, side kick and water kick which are all a good test of balance!

We also played games to practise our discipline and focus.
