Would it be more fun to live in the Stone Age compared to Today?

As part of our Stone Age topic, Class 5 had a debate about whether it was more fun to live in the Stone Age than today. What kind of language would you need to use? Which points were raised in our debate? IMG_1516 IMG_1518 IMG_1519 IMG_1520

Science fun at Rosliston

Key Stage 2 were very lucky because they got to go to Rosliston for the day and take part in lots of activities related to Science. These included making a balloon rocket, slingshot science and creating vibrations to see how sounds travel. Which was your favourite activity? Journey through the Stone Age…

Class 5 created poems and raps about things you would find in the Stone Age and then performed them during their class assembly, along with a Stone Age song. Class 5, you were fantastic! Thank you to everyone who came to watch 🙂 What did we learn about the Stone Age? Did you have a favourite part of the assembly?

Mini detectives!

As part of our Stone Age topic, we have been reading ‘Stone Age Boy’ where a boy falls down a hole and goes back in time to the Stone Age. Before starting the book, we acted as mini detectives and had to look at the clues and evidence around the classroom in order to discover what the book was about. Which clues helped the most?  IMG_1308 IMG_1310 IMG_1311 IMG_1313
